It is truly an honor and blessing to have the privilege to care for my patients. I recognize it takes a great deal of trust, for many people, to place their oral health and smile in my hands. That’s why I strive to establish a connection with each patient, based on open and honest communication.

I want every person to feel comfortable telling me about their goals, as well as any fears they might have. I will listen, without judgment, and work with them to find a care approach they are comfortable with.

I take being a dentist very seriously, because of the levels of trust and responsibility involved. I want to make a positive, lasting difference in the lives of each of my patients: helping them to maintain their teeth for a lifetime, and ensuring they have a confident, beautiful, and healthy smile. I’m most passionate about educating my patients about the advancements that make dental visits easier, quicker, and painless. There are many techniques and materials that weren’t available even ten years ago, and those have improved the patient experience. I love sharing that with people.

Each year I take many hours of continuing dental education. This ensures I remain current with ongoing changes in the field and am able to offer my patients access to the best care options. I have focused a lot on implant dentistry. Other courses have included cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, Invisalign training, and complex restorative treatement. I’m involved with my local church and its outreach efforts. Over the past couple years I’ve ministered to unwed mothers, prisoners, orphans, and local elementary schools.

Sponsoring local sports teams and serving Wendell elementary school by feeding the teachers and beautification projects at the school. I also volunteer my time with other dental clinics, including Wake Smiles, Baptist Men’s Bus, and Missions of Mercy. As an office, we host one free dental day a year to serve those without access to care.

When not treating patients, Dr. Brantley enjoys training dentists from all over the country and Canada on how to use the Solea hard and soft tissue laser as well as CEREC CAD/CAM dentistry. He lectures in the Wendell Learning Center (located above Wendell Family Dentistry) and periodically throughout the country.

I grew up right here in Wendell and recently moved back to the town that helped raise me. My wife Lindsay and I have been married since 2009. We have 4 children, Caroline Grace, Ainsley Rae, Blair Lynn and Deacon Roy.

When not working, I’m usually spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy staying fit through working out, running, and swimming. I’m an avid reader, who can sometimes be found gardening and tackling yard projects, or smoking meats.

Originally from Charlotte, Dr. Hieu Nguyen completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition at UNC-Chapel Hill, then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine. Following dental school, Dr.Nguyen completed an AEGD residency, where he honed his skills in implant dentistry and surgery.

Nguyen is a member of the American Dental Association, as well as the North Carolina Dental Society. Dr. Nguyen enjoys all facets of dentistry and dedicates himself to providing an optimal level of comprehensive dental care while treating each patient with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Outside of the office, Dr. Nguyen enjoys traveling, playing tennis, eating, and training his two puppies.

Dr. Jil (Zeel) Patel is a compassionate and detail-oriented general dentist with more than four years of clinical experience. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology at East Carolina University and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Chicago, Illinois.

Since beginning his career in 2021, Dr. Patel has practiced across a variety of settings throughout North Carolina, which has allowed him to develop a strong, well-rounded foundation in general dentistry. He is experienced in restorative dentistry, removable prosthodontics including cast partial dentures, endodontic therapy (including molar root canals), oral surgery and wisdom tooth extractions, and clear aligner orthodontics. He has also completed full mouth rehabilitation cases and is trained in the placement and restoration of dental implants.

Dr. Patel is certified in Invisalign clear aligner therapy and is trained in CEREC CAD/CAM same-day restorations, BlueSkyBio implant planning, and the use of diode and Er:YAG dental lasers. He is passionate about continuing to expand his skills, with a particular interest in implant dentistry, and is committed to providing each of his patients with high-quality, individualized care.
