Dr. Brantley, DDS

Story Video
About

It is truly an honor and blessing to have the privilege to care for my patients. I recognize it takes a great deal of trust, for many people, to place their oral health and smile in my hands. That’s why I strive to establish a connection with each patient, based on open and honest communication.

I want every person to feel comfortable telling me about their goals, as well as any fears they might have. I will listen, without judgment, and work with them to find a care approach they are comfortable with.

I take being a dentist very seriously, because of the levels of trust and responsibility involved. I want to make a positive, lasting difference in the lives of each of my patients: helping them to maintain their teeth for a lifetime, and ensuring they have a confident, beautiful, and healthy smile. I’m most passionate about educating my patients about the advancements that make dental visits easier, quicker, and painless. There are many techniques and materials that weren’t available even ten years ago, and those have improved the patient experience. I love sharing that with people.

Education & Continuing Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, North Carolina State University
  • Doctorate of Dental Surgery, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill

Each year I take many hours of continuing dental education. This ensures I remain current with ongoing changes in the field and am able to offer my patients access to the best care options. I have focused a lot on implant dentistry. Other courses have included cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, Invisalign training, and complex restorative treatement. I also maintain the following certifications:

  • Basic Life Support(CPR)
  • OSHA
  • HIPAA
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support(PALS)
Professional Memberships
  • American Dental Association
  • Academy of General Dentistry
  • North Carolina Dental Society
  • Raleigh / Wake County Dental Society
In the Community

I’m involved with my local church and its outreach efforts. Over the past couple years I’ve ministered to unwed mothers, prisoners, orphans, and local elementary schools.

Additionally, I’ve served as the part-time staff dentist for the Samaritan Health Center at the Durham Rescue Mission. I also volunteer my time with other dental clinics, including Wake Smiles, Baptist Men’s Bus, and Missions of Mercy. As an office, we host one free dental day a year to serve those without access to care.

Lecturing & Training

When not treating patients, Dr. Brantley enjoys training dentists from all over the country and Canada on how to use the Solea hard and soft tissue laser as well as CEREC CAD/CAM dentistry. He lectures in the Wendell Learning Center (located above Wendell Family Dentistry) and periodically throughout the country.

Outside the Office

I grew up right here in Wendell and recently moved back to the town that helped raise me. My wife Lindsay and I have been married since 2009. We have 2 lovely young daughters, Caroline Grace and Ainsley Rae.

When not working, I’m usually spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy staying fit through working out, running, and swimming. I’m an avid reader, who can sometimes be found gardening and tackling yard projects.

Dr. Vo, DDS

Story Video
About

Dr. Christopher Vo was born, raised and educated in Eastern North Carolina. He attended East Carolina University as an EC Scholar where he earned his B.S. in biology. Following graduation he was accepted to UNC’s School of Dentistry where he earned his D.D.S. degree. During dental school, Dr. Vo focused on learning the newest dental technologies and applying them in some of the most advanced forms of dental treatment. During both undergrad and dental school, Dr. Vo volunteered with the North Carolina Missions of Mercy and continues to provide dental care to underserved patients across the state. Dr. Vo also volunteers as an adjunct instructor with the UNC School of Dentistry and enjoys working with dental students at these volunteer clinics.

Education
  • Bachelor of Science degree at East Carolina University,  EC Scholar
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry
Practice Philosophy

As a dentist, Dr. Vo strongly focuses on two things: patient education and preventive healthcare. While he enjoys helping patients correct their dental problems, he believes that the most valuable service that he can offer is to help them avoid dental problems. Achieving that goal starts with, firstly, helping patients understand why their natural, healthy teeth are – almost always – better than anything that he can offer as a replacement and then, secondly, helping patients preserve and protect what they naturally have. The result? Less time drilling and filling and more time enjoying the things that really matter in life.

Memberships
  • American Dental Association
  • North Carolina Dental Society
  • Raleigh / Wake County Dental Society
Marketing & Lecturing

Combining his interests in dentistry and the visual arts, Dr. Vo works closely with other small business owner dentists helping them establish their practice brands and developing authentic ways to market themselves and their practices. At Wendell Family Dentistry, Dr. Vo directs marketing efforts as well as the practice’s community involvement. Additionally, Dr. Vo works closely with Dr. Brantley at the Wendell Learning Center (located above Wendell Family Dentistry) and gives marketing/branding presentations to fellow dentists.

Outside the Office

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Vo enjoys photography and making short films (often times about teeth…). During spring and summer you might find him dripping sweat on the tennis court or at NC’s crystal coast fishing or digging clams with his friends, family and English setter, Ladybird. He understands he looks very young and has been known to joke that he plans “to go back to high school if this whole dentistry thing doesn’t work out”.
